New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Sharon Sala brings new meaning to family in her small-town Southern romance

No one is alone
Dori Grant is no stranger to hardship. As a young single mother in the gossip-fueled town of Blessings, Georgia, she's weathered the storm of small-town disapproval most of her life. But when Dori loses everything within the span of an evening, she realizes she has no choice but to turn to her neighbors.

As long as there is love to give
Everyone says the Pine boys are no good, but Johnny Pine has been proving the gossips wrong ever since his mother died and he took over raising his brothers. His heart goes out to the young mother and child abandoned by the good people of Blessings. Maybe he can be the one to change all that...

3.5 of 5 Stars

Dori is one strong minded young lady. As the story unfolds, I remember thinking that I don't think I would ever have the strength she has. Life has thrown her more than her share of heartache but she is determined to do the best that she can with what she has. Keeping her secret and letting others think poorly of her just to avoid the wrath of what might have happened. She is a loving mother that is willing to do anything for her little man.

Johnny Pine comes from the wrong side of tracks as the stereotype goes. His father is in prison and his mother died from overdose. At an early age he decided that he would look out for his little brothers and do anything needed to keep them together. That is exactly what he is doing by all means necessary. He understands all to well how the boys are treated as he was there once himself. This hard working young man can't always give the boys everything they want but he does everything he can to keep them clean and healthy.

Knowing what it is like to be alone, Johnny steps in to offer Dori a helping hand when she is at her all time low. When nobody else will step in a give a girl a chance. Can these strangers work to make life easier on each other. How will he manage by adding two more mouths to feed?

This is a wonderful story about standing up for what you want and doing what is needed to make it work. Sometimes it truly works out the way you want it to.
