First, he saved me.

I lived because he was a hero.

And then he was gone.

Uprooted by the fire that destroyed our home, my family moved away and I never saw David Andrews again.

Then, he found me.

Eighteen years later, he rescued me again – in much simpler terms, of course. By loving me, by giving me the fairy tale I’d always hoped for, he provided me with the perfect life.
Now, he needs to be saved.

It’s my turn to be strong, to be brave, to be valiant.

When flames threaten to turn us to ashes, it’s up to me to pull us From the Wreckage.

4.5 of 5 Stars

Grace is a quirk English lit graduate who is about to start her life outside of school. She is smart and sassy but she is not so confident in her self and her looks. One too many bad apples in her past making her feel like she is less than worth it. He has been on and off her mind for all these years but he has held her heart since she was 6 and he saved her. Even though she hasn't seen him since.

David loves his life and job as one of FDNYs finest firefighters. He has a purpose and will do anything he can to help others. Studying hard for his lieutenant classification. With each big call he thinks of that little girl in the snow beside that burning house. Where is she today, what would she be like?

Two young children so affected by that one cold snowy night. The odds of crossing paths again in life are very slim. Until that one night when she is fresh in his mind and he hears her name while looking at a girl with fiery red hair. Could it be after all these years?

Just when you think life is pretty damn perfect it can all change in the blink of an eye. Will this tear them apart once again?
Can their heart hold the love and keep them together moving forward?

What an emotional roller coaster ride this book was. From the initial oh no's, aw so sweets, watching love form and grab hold, holding your breathe, sadness for what once was, biting your nails to tears of joy. Hang on to you hat and bring your tissues. Be prepared to tune out life and flip page after page.

A wonderful read Melissa. Thank you for sharing this book with us.

Melissa Collins has always been a book worm. Studying Literature in college ensured that her nose was always stuck in a book. She followed her passion for reading to the most logical career choice: English teacher. Her hope was to share her passion for reading and the escapism of books to her students. Having spent more than a decade in front of a classroom, she can easily say that it’s been a dream. Her passion for writing didn’t start until more recently. When she was home on maternity leave in early 2012, she read her first romance novel and her head filled with the passion, angst and laughter of the characters who she read about it. It wasn’t long before characters of her own took shape in her mind. Their lives took over Melissa’s brain and The Love Series was born.
